Job Description
DLA Piper is seeking an associate to join the State and Local Tax group. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience focusing on state and local corporate income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, payroll tax, and personal income tax. Experience in controversy, litigation, planning and restructuring are a plus.

Requirements
J.D.
2-4 years of relevant experience
Admitted to practice in state where applying
Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Pay Transparency
In accordance with New York and California's Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City, or California is $225,000-$310,000 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience and overall qualifications.
