Job Description Summary
DLA Piper is seeking an Associate with 3 - 6 years of experience to join our Investment Funds group. This position is open to our Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Washington, D.C. and California offices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with investments in, or the formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital and hedge funds. Experience with secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts and structuring carry vehicles is also a plus. We seek candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds. Interested candidates should have strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, good business judgment, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Requirements:
J.D.
3-6 years of relevant experience
Must be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you are applying
Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Pay Transparency
In accordance with California and New York's Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position, if hired to work in California or New York, is $260,000 – $390,000 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications.
